| Becoming a doctor is hard work. Just getting into medical school, residency, fellowship, or the practice you want is a great achievement. Along the way, there are 'zillions' of questions you need to face and make informed decisions about in order to end up in the practice of your dreams. |
The Patient Medical Association has formed the Physicians-in-Training Program to help you on your journey of becoming a physician. |
| Credibility is assured because the site is sponsored by the Patient Medical Association in collaboration with professional medical societies and associations and other experts. Material on the Physicians-in-Training Program website is reviewed regularly for completeness and to update its content. |
|
The Physicians-in-Training Program offers at no-charge to premed students, medical/osteopathic students, residents, and fellows constantly updated resources to answer the important questions that arise during your professional development, including:
- Deciding if you even want to go to medical school and then helping you get accepted.
- Helping you with questions about specialties as a medical student so that you can select the right residency and get into the program of your choosing.
- As a resident, selecting the right fellowship or, for those looking to enter the workforce, selecting the right practice environment.
- Learning the practical things that will make you more comfortable as a new physician, like how to write articles, negotiate your employment contract, or how to deal with billing, coding, and the new healthcare reform issues that will affect your practice.
