The PAMEAS Patient Bill of Rights

The Patient Medical Association has a mission of improving the health and healthcare experience of patients to be more patient centric, clinically efficient, and cost effective. The foundation of our mission is enumerated in the PAMEAS Patient Bill of Rights. These are aspects of healthcare that we believe are necesssary in continually improving healthcare delivery for the benefit of patients and the healthcare professionals that deliver our care.


 

The PAMEAS Patient Bill of Rights states that:
  1. Patients have a right to be empowered to get the best healthcare for the best price and to make decisions regarding purchases that support their health and well-being.

  2. Patients have a right to the lowest possible incidence of medical complications, preventable medical errors, and hospital acquired infections.

  3. Patients have a right to healthcare delivery by professionals that have received up-to-date medical education and procedural training.

  4. Patients have a right to the most effective clinical procedures, medical informatics, and medical technology available that produce the best clinical outcomes for the best price.

  5. Patients have a right to uncomplicated and transparent administrative procedures in the delivery of their healthcare.
