PAMEAS Initiatives

PAMEAS has launched the following initiatives in service to its mission of patient advocacy.

The PAMEAS Digest

A healthcare news aggregator and news agency. The core website of the Patient Medical Association.

The Medical Showcase

PAMEAS created the Medical Showcase to serve as a virtual exhibit hall of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic and imaging technologies to better inform patients and others interested in learning more these important aspects of our healthcare system.

The Trans-Radial Institute

Manages research, education, and training programs to promote radial vascular access for interventional techniques.

The Endovascular Institute

Manages research, education, and training programs to promote the endovascular management of clinical conditions of the heart and body.

The Neuroendovascular Surgery Institute

Manages research, education, and training programs to promote the endovascular management of clinical conditions in the head, neck, and spine.

The Institute for Physician Training

Manages research, education, and training programs to support the professional development of premed students, medical students, residents, and fellows.

PAMEAS Research

Manages (1) peer-review processes under contract to organizations that distribute funds and require proposals to be evaluated and scored by objective subject matter experts and (2) clinical trial data by acting as a contract research organization.

PAMEAS Labs

Conducts research and provides professional consultation that enhances the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare products and services. Current initiatives of PAMEAS Labs include developing effective physician education conferences and programs, developing systems for employers to lower their group health plan costs for employees, keeping current with federal and state healthcare reform initiatives, updating information technology infrastructures, using the Internet effectively, and developing effective marketing programs for patients and physician referral bases.

The iPad in Healthcare

PAMEAS feels the iPad® device from Apple represents an important and historical technical development that has great potential in both making healthcare information management more effective and improving healthcare delivery for patients. PAMEAS has formed the Institute for the Advancement of the iPad in Healthcare to encourage continued development of the iPad and its application to healthcare delivery.
